BIEK reschedules HSC Part 2 supply exams

Karachi, The Controller of Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has declared that supplementary examinations of Higher Secondary Certificate Part-II of Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, General Science, Commerce (Regular and Private), Arts (Regular and Private), Home Economics and Special Candidates which were scheduled to be held on Thursday, January 3 would now be conducted on Tuesday, January 22.

He further said that timings and examination center for the exams would remain the same. The exams have been postponed because Sindh government has declared public holiday on January 3 due to Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA). For this reason supplementary exam of Higher Secondary Certificate Part-II of Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, General Science, Commerce (Regular and Private), Arts (Regular and Private), Home Economics and Special Candidates would be conducted on Jan 22.

BISE Karachi (Board of Intermediate Education Karachi) was established in 1974 through the Sindh Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education. The main purpose of this Board is to organize, regulate, develop and control Intermediate Education within its jurisdiction. BIEK Karachi conducts inter examinations for Karachi.

The major mission of Karachi Board is to provide progressive education and examination services to the nation. The future of any nation lies mainly on its educational system. Education provides roadmap for development and helps to achieve the desired goals. Therefore, Board of Secondary Education Karachi is determined hard to take steps to get quality of education in the country.

The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi is not only an examining body but is also responsible for maintaining and controlling the standard of education and other activities, which are mainly focused on physical, moral and spiritual development of the college students.

The Board has the power to organize, regulate, develop and control Intermediate Education. The controlling Authority of the Board is the Governor of Sindh. The Chairman is the principal administrative and academic officer of the Board, while the Secretary has responsibility of the academic and administrative Sector and the Controller of Examinations is the in charge of the Examination Section.

The mentioned officers and the Audit officer are recruited by the Controlling Authority of the Board, while other officers are also appointed by the Board on the recommendation of the appointment Committee. In the year, 1974, there were only 17 officers and 113 officials, now we have 51 officers and 246 officials.
