Islamabad: It is hereby notified that, Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will begin LLB classes from the next year (2017), after meeting the particular legal requirements of Pakistan Bar Council (PBC).

The managerial authorities of the varsity has already approved the program and the University is now in the process of finalizing the matters relevant to its Faculty and course material, said Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Shahid Siddiqui while heading a meeting of Faculty Board of Social Sciences and Humanities.

It is further notified that M.Phil (Professional Track) program for the working journalists will also be launched next year.

It approved the establishment of two individual departments within Faculty of Social sciences that are the department of Psychology and department of Politics and international relations.
