Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has attained a remarkable difference creating non-formal or the distance-learning system highly efficacious, increasing the literacy rate as well as sponsoring higher education system in Pakistan.

 This was affirmed by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Siddiqui during addressing a farewell party that was held in honour of four superannuated officials also involving the previous controller examination Dr. Hamid Khan Niazi. The farewell party was organized by the Faculty of Education. The other workers were naib qasib Haq Nawaz, Muhammad Zaman and also Gul Hussain.

The non-formal system had played an impressive role in attaining the postulated targets in the educational zone of the country. The AIOU is now positioning the grander focus on introducing the online education along with the maximum consumption of digital-based technology. Dr. Siddiqui said that some of the PhD level online courses will be introduced very soon.

 He rewarded the rich tributes to the superannuated employees and those are the employees who condensed the dedicated as well as the untiring services for putting the university on a resilient footing. The assurance of Dr. Hamid Niazi to his job was highly praiseworthy. The Vice Chancellor of the university moreover said that he praised the rich human qualities.

He furthermore added that, even though, associating the work already done, Allama Iqbal Open University is working on several latest inventiveness for bringing about qualitative enhancements in academic as well as in the administrative network for the sake of quality education and offering the exceptional possible services to their 1.4 million aspirants from the entire country.

Frantic efforts are also being made to enhance the academic ranking of Allama Iqbal Open University, through enlarging the research-based activities, amendment of textbooks, capacity-building of staffs, strengthening support as well as the delivering system for students. Moreover, a number of other social and cultural activities have also been in progress for the sake of aspirants and also for the teaching faculty.
