3-day Student Festival begins at IIUI

A 3-day student festival begins on Tuesday at International Islamic University, Islamabad. This student festival inaugurated at IIUI includes book fair, Mehfil-e-Musharia, Sufi Night as well as debate competitions.

As per the given information, the head of student organization named as Anjman Talba-e-Islam (ATI), Muhammad Akif Tahir, inaugurated this 3-day student festival.

According to him, three-day student event festival involves a lot of activities for the aspirants like the complete organized book fair having numerous book stalls on multiple topics, debate competitions on the matters related to the national harmony and peace as well as law moot.

Moreover, to entertain the aspirants of university, a Mehfil-e-Mushaira and Sufi night is also the part of the said student festival. A number of political personalities, lawyers, teachers as well as aspirants visited the event on its first day whereas some other prominent personalities are also expected to visit the event on its second and third day.

While talking to media, a faulty member Dr Mujeebur Rehman praised the planners of this event and said, "Such kind of events can act like a bridge on the gap between aspirants and books". A law student, Sufyan Ikram Cheema said that, "I participate in debate competition which is undoubtedly an exceptional experience for me and I will definitely learn a lot through this event. This event has provided me an opportunity to express my concealed potential."

The ATI Information Secretary Syed Waqar Ali told the sources that, "Our organization involved the peaceful students and these types of activities are supportive in promoting the idea of peace between apsirants by spreading knowledge through books". He also added, first and second days of the event are for male whereas the third day of event is particularly for female aspirants.

The president of Officers Welfare Association (OWA) Rana Asghar Hussain, President of Academic Staff Association (ASA) Dr Zafar Iqbal and also the deans of various faculties attended the event.
