28th Lahore International Book Fair 2014 from Feb 26 to Mar 02

Lahore, The 28th Lahore International Book Fair 2014 is going to be organized at Expo Centre Johar Town Lahore from Feb 26 to March 02, 2014.

Lahore International Book Fair is one of major the largest international book fair which is organized every year in Lahore, Pakistan. The exhibition is arranged at Expo Center, Johar Town, Lahore for five days and people from different walks of life visit the exhibition. It is considered one of biggest educational and cultural event of city. 
 
Lahore became the centre for publications and over 80 percent books are being printed and published in Lahore. Lahore is also well known of centre of literary, educational and cultural activity in the country. every year over 160 local and foreign publishers and institutions and organizations organized their stalls in the book fair on different topics such as Islam, history, computer, education and information technology, engineering, medical sciences, agriculture, business management, literature, law and children literature. Publishers from all around the world also represent their books in the exhibition and most of them come from Middle East, UK, USA and India.

The Lahore International Book Fair was established in 2006 by four prominent members including Zubair Saeed, Najam Sethi, Saleem Malik and Mohammad Faisal. It is a non-profit NGO. The LIBF is functioning with the purpose of promotion of book publishing, book selling in the region. The organization does this by promoting and organizing exhibitions nationally and internationally and stimulates the people to participate in them. It also gives motivation to Pakistan Publishers and Booksellers Association and other trade authorities to cooperate with the government and other international organizations by providing vision of determining the issues of book trade and strengthening it.
