Mohi-Ud-Din Islamic University Nerian Sharif (Aj&K)

In 1999, an Act was passed by the Legislative Assembly of Azad & Jammu Kashmir, which led to the establishment of a university named “Muhi-ud-Din Islamic University.” The university was set up under the supervision and guidance of the patron “Hazrat Pir Alla-ud-Din Siddiqui”. The construction and establishment of a premium class university in such a rural and socio-economically backward area of Pakistan was a very difficult task. The University is one of a kind in its region. It is the first ever medical school in the Area of AJ&K. Ever since its establishment the University has made all efforts to deliver world-class higher education to masses of the region.

This University situated in Nerian Sheriff (Azad Kashmir) offers undergraduate and post graduate education. This medical School was accredited by the PMDC in the year 2009, it was then the first batch comprising of 100 students enrolled in the institution. However the Institute has shown remarkable expansion and development. It currently has a substantial student body and a wide array of courses are offered to the students that can meet their educational and career goals.

The principal mission of the University is to disseminate contemporary and religious education to the students so that they can be fully equipped to meet the challenges of the new era with confidence .The University awards HEC accredited degrees, diplomas and certificates. This fully chartered University is highly ranked by the Higher Education Commission and placed in the ‘W’ (A) Category of General Universities.

The multi-storied Main Campus of Mohi-ud-Din University is situated at an altitude of 6000 feet on the stunning hill station of Nerian Sheriff. Neria Sheriff is a rural area that is only 125 km from Islamabad. The magnificent campus of the University is spread over 15 acres of land. The university is situated far from the distractions and pollutions of the city in an enchanting environment close to the nature. The fascinating natural environment and fresh atmosphere of the University proves to be conducive to the learning experience of students.

The university has a compassionate attitude towards the students and therefore leaves no stone un-turned in providing the students with a conducive and comprehensive learning environment. The University strives to carry out its mission of delivering quality education and competency based knowledge under the umbrella of Islam.
