The Government Institute of Commerce were established for women in Sargodha as a leading institution for imparting education in commerce solely to female students for women's empowerment under the philosophy of providing women with the driven knowledge base in order to exist in the market. Academic Programs Offered

The Govt. Institute of Commerce (W) Sargodha provides to the need of commerce seekers through various academic programs. These include quite a few standard courses, including the Intermediate in Commerce (I.Com), a two year course aimed at providing a strong foundation in business and commercial subjects, to bring a more practical education oriented approach, the Diploma of commerce (D.Com), another one year course structure highlighting industrial skills. The college also offers a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), a three year program that provides a more extensive study of subject matter like accounting, economics, and business administration, all being part of the undergraduate programs with the aim towards master's studies in commerce and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com). The programs serve advanced studies along with the master in commerce.
