There are four major subjects that are to be tested in the UHS Medical & Dental College Admission Test. Biology, Chemisty, Physics, and English skills are evaluated in the UHS MDCAT test. MDCAT exam 2019 is comprised of 200 MCQ's with 1 mark each (so, total 200 marks). There is no negative marking in the year 2019. The passing marks in the test are 60% (120 out of 200 marks.

The Subject wise mark distribution is as below:

Subject MCQs/Marks
Biology 80
Chemistry 60
Physics 40
English 20
Total 200

Time Allowed is Two Hours and Thirty Minutes (150 Minutes/2:30 Hours)

The MDCAT marks are counted for 50% in the aggregate while calculating the final admission merit in the medical and dental colleges and universities in Punjab.

Aggregate Merit is calculated on the following criteria:

Certificate/Degree % Marks
Matriculation/SSC/Equivalent 10%
F.Sc. (Pre-Medical)/HSSC/Equivalent 40%
UHS MDCAT Entrance Exam 50%
Total 100%

Thus, if a student obtains 945(out of 1050) marks in matriculation, 990 out of 1100 in the F.Sc. Pre Medical, and 179 out of 200 in the Entrance test, the merit will be determined this way:

= 960/1050x10 + 990/1100x40 + 179/200x50

= 9.143 + 36 + 44.75

= 89.893
