The Pakistan Council of Architects & Town Planners (PCATP) is a regulatory body established under the 1983 Ordinance for the regulation of the Architecture and Town Planning professions in the country. It is responsible for ensuring quality education, professional licensing, and the maintenance of high professional standards in both fields.
We are an equal-opportunity organization and require the following vacancy to be filled by suitable, qualified, and experienced personnel on a purely contract basis (extendable annually based on performance) with a Market-Based Salary (negotiable based on qualification and experience).
Designation: Registrar
Number of Positions: 01
Duty Station: Islamabad
Master’s Degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, Management, or Law & Policy Making.
Bachelor’s Degree: Must possess a 5-year Bachelor of Architecture OR a 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in City/Urban and Regional Planning.
Note: All degrees must be recognized and verified by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.
PCATP Registration: Must be a registered, active member of PCATP.
Minimum Experience: Fifteen (15) years of administrative/management experience in Government, Semi-Government, or Private sectors.
Preferred Skills:
Applicants with higher qualifications and foreign/local training in recognized management courses will be given preference.
Experience in legal processes and procedures will be an added advantage.
Maximum 55 years of age on the closing date of the application.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that entities under the authority's jurisdiction comply with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
Licensing & Registration: Manage the registration and licensing for individuals, businesses, or institutions governed by the authority. Issue, renew, suspend, or revoke licenses and registrations in accordance with the law.
Record Management: Oversee the secure and accurate maintenance of all records related to registrations, licenses, and enforcement actions. Ensure total transparency and data integrity in registry operations.
Policy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of regulatory policies and procedures. Ensure internal operations align with the authority's broader strategic and legal framework.
Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as a central liaison between the regulatory authority and stakeholders, including regulated entities, the general public, and government bodies.
Enforcement & Reporting: Coordinate and document enforcement actions against individuals or organizations that breach regulations. Prepare reports for internal use and for submission to government or oversight bodies.
Accountability: Document all decisions and processes to ensure total accountability and audit readiness.
Resource Management: Manage budgets, procurements, and other resources relevant to the registrar's functions.
