Uvas signs MoU with Turkish university

The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore has signed an MoU along with the Turkish Selcuk University (SU) for the promotion of the educational cooperatioThe MoU was signed by the UVAS Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha and Selcuk University Rector Prof Dr Hekki Gokbel at the ceremony organized at UVAS. Under the MoU, the UVAS and Selcuk University would exchange the faculty members for lectures as well as short term visits; aspirants for the higher studies and the basic scientific research and organize the mutual conferences and seminars.

Moroever, they would develop the video conference links as well as jointly explore national as well as international funding opportunities for the research. While, speaking to the MoU signing ceremonies, the Vice-Chancellor give instructions to the Turkish delegates on the academic, research, extension as well as the training programs of the UVAS. He also said that the university was working in close association along with the industry for the cause of quality education as well as the skills development of aspirants.

He said that likewise the linkages are also being developed along with the international universities and research institutes for making the opportunities for the faculty members and the aspirants as well. The vice-president Selcuk University Konya Turkey Prof Dr M Musa Ozcan and Department of Agricultural Economics Agriculture Faculty Selcuk, University Konya Dr Mithat Direk were also present on that event.
