USAID distributes 23, 800 computer tablets to support govt school teachers

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is allocating 23,800 computer tablets through its Pakistan Reading Project to the teachers of government schools of grades 1 and 2 to support the teacher training as well as enhanced the reading instruction in classrooms crosswise Pakistan.

The USAID-funded Pakistan Reading Project is approximately a $165 million project which is designed to support the provincial as well as the local departments of education to enhance the reading abilities of primary school children in the entire state.

Mainly this program is designed to use three unified components to affect the quality of education in the initial primary grades: a better-quality classroom learning environment for reading, better policies and systems for reading, as well as the community-based support for reading in Pakistan.
