The University of North Carolina, Wilmington, USA, has gifted over 50 books to International Islamic University (IIU), Islamabad.

These books were gifted to Pakistani University by Dr. Carrie Clements of the UNCW on the event of her lecture organized by the Faculty of Languages and Literature (FLL) in association along with the Iqbal International Institute for Research and Dialogue (IRD) on 'Establishing Center for Teaching Excellence at IIUI' at the Lincoln's Corner, Central Library, new campus of International Islamic University.

On this event, Dr. Carrie Clements granted more than 51 valuable books for the Faculty of Languages and Literature (FLL).

Dr. Munawar Iqbal Ahmad, the head of the Faculty of Languages and Literature, Dr. Ayaz Afsar, head of the Department of English, and chief librarian, received the books from the guest of honour.

At the same time, the chief librarian offered his book 'The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him): A Selected Bibliography in Western Languages' to the guest of the event.

Previously, Dr. Munawar Iqbal Ahmad welcomed the partakers and briefed regarding the partnership programme among the International Islamic University, Islamabad, as well as the University of North Carolina, Wilmington. The Principals, HODs, senior faculty members as well as the chief librarian of the university attended this aware lecture.
