Peshawar, The University of Peshawar in collaboration with Shandong University of Science and Technology of China is going to start PhD split program. The Chinese language centre at UoP will also be inaugurated. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed in this regard and the agreement will be continued for three years. The ceremony was organized  to sign MoU and UoP vice chancellor Professor Mohammad Rasul Jan and president of Shangdong University of Science and Technology Professor Ren Tingqi signed it at Shangdong, China.
 
 The agreement is one of initiative for the implementation of vision 2020 for internalization of higher education institutions in Pakistan. These two universities will cooperate in the field of PhD program, conduction of workshops and seminars, teaching and research, training of students and faculty, setting up of Chinese language and cultural centre, mutual written academic and research results and starting mutual research projects. 
 
Mr Jan while expressing his views said that this agreement aims to cooperate in various fields and explore the potentials in the projects based on research and community.  In every sector China cooperate with Pakistan and in education sector China is also most realistic option for development of education with mutual cooperation and understanding.  
 
President of Shangdong University, Professor Ren Tingqi said with the help of this agreement these two universities will administer good communication relationships for the facilitation of information transfer. He further said that other activities will also be took place such as exchange of students and faculty for research which will assist these two universities.
