Quetta: On Tuesday, the University Of Balochistan (UOB) as well as the Secondary Education Department Balochistan (SED) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the improvement of the research as well as academic activities.

This agreement signing ceremony was organized at the university where the vice chancellor of University of Balochistan Dr Javed Iqbal as well as the vice chancellor of Secondary Education Secretary Abdul Fatah Bhangar presented the memorandum.

As per the issued press release of UOB, “Following the commitment, the University of Balochistan showed that how happy it was to adopt the Government Girls Middle School, Lower Karez and Government Boys High School, Lower Karez, Sariyad road, though also promising support to them as per their requirement.”

 “Secondary Education Department allowed permitted the University of Baluchistan to adopt these schools for the time period of two years to make sure that they are working properly and also maintaining the quality of education under the supervision of University of Balochistan,” it said.

The press release furthermore added that Secondary education department will  provide an annual fund for the attaining school material while also ensuring that all the transfers as well as the and postings were made after consulting the main person at the varsity.

University of Balochistan will also organize several training courses and workshop for the teachers as well as for the staff members of the schools, under signed MoU.

UOB Registrar Muhammad Tariqi Jogezai, Controller Professor Dr Abdul Malik Tareen, Secondary Education Additional Director Nizam Mengal as well as other officials were also present in the ceremony.

“The varsity has also promised to make the school libraries functional whereas also equipping the laboratories along with the advanced technology as well as offering the course books to aspirants,” the press release said.

While admiring the efforts of University of Balochistan, Bhangar thanked the varsity and said that the signed agreement will definitely assist the deprived schools in Quetta.

“The effort will improve the skills of our children and prepare them to face the challenges of the future,” he added.

While addressing the ceremony, the vice chancellor Iqbal said that the varsity will continue to assist the underprivileged educational institutions.

“We have made a strategy to train our teachers and expectantly our efforts will change the inexcusable educational system,” he said.
