Unrecognized Educational Institutions Alert: HEC Releases List of 157 Illegal Campuses

A comprehensive list compiled by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) has shed light on a concerning issue, revealing that a staggering number of 157 universities, colleges, and institutions all across the country, with 31 in Lahore alone, have been flagged as illegal. HEC, in response to this alarming discovery, has officially released the list, urging students to exercise extreme caution when considering admission to any degree program offered by these institutions.

The gravity of the situation has prompted HEC to issue a stern warning, explicitly stating that the degrees obtained from these unrecognized campuses will not be accredited or acknowledged by the Higher Education Commission. As a result, students are strongly advised against enrolling in any degree program being offered by these flagged institutions, as it may seriously jeopardize the validity and recognition of their educational qualifications in the future.

In light of this disconcerting revelation, HEC emphasizes the importance of conducting thorough due diligence before making any educational decisions. The list of chartered universities, which are officially recognized and have approved campuses at specific locations, can be easily accessed on the HEC website, providing students with a reliable reference point for choosing credible and legitimate educational establishments.

To ensure their academic future remains secure and reputable, students are encouraged to verify the status of colleges directly with the respective universities. Engaging with fake, illegal, and unrecognized institutions could not only compromise the quality of education received but also have severe ramifications on future career prospects and opportunities. Hence, students are implored to exercise prudence and diligence when selecting their educational institutions, prioritizing recognized and reputable establishments to safeguard their academic pursuits and aspirations.
