Uniform education system only way to promote peace, social consistency

The workshop entitled as, “Education: an Advocacy Niche for Peace” was held by `South Asia Partnership -Pakistan’s Citizen First’ to develop a tactic for standardized education system for the promotion of peace.

The speakers at the workshop said that uniform education system is the only way for the promotion of peace and social unity beyond in the country heading towards the prosperity as well as the bright future.

They said that to attain this, a policy based on a real strategy should be expressed in association along with the government institutes, educationists, civil society, politicians, media and the other stake holders.

The aspirants from various schools and colleges from 15 districts of Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa participated in the counseling procedures.

While sharing her views, Shabnam Rasheed, national program manager and Shakeel Ibrar regional program coordinator SAP-Pakistan emphasized the importance of educating the youth through standardized education system for the promotion of peace as well as of social cohesion in our society.

They stressed on the practical policy by formulating policy frame work and the action plan for education in Pakistan, along with the involvement and consultation of aspirants. Shabnam Rasheed emphasized on the requirement for an empowering environment for the aspirants in educational institutes.

Participants also acclaimed the vision and objectives for the standardized education system for the development of peace; inter faith harmony and the social unity in education standards.
