UMT welcomes new students for Spring 2014 semester

Lahore, University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore, welcomed new students of spring 2014 in a special orientation session at its campus that was attended by hundreds of students who have been enrolled in the wide range of degree programs offered by the University.  Dr Abdul Hameed, Dr Abdul Aziz Bhatti and Dr Rukhsana  Kalim address the orientation session of newly enrolled UMT students.

Honorable deans, directors and senior faculty members from School of Business and Economics, School of Science and Technology, School of Social Sciences and Humanities, School of Governance and Society,  School of Professional Advancement , School of Textile and Design, School of Engineering, Institute of Applied Sciences, Institute of Communication and Cultural Studies , School of Commerce and Accountancy, Institute of Islamic Banking, and School of Law and Policy welcomed the newly enrolled students on behalf of Dr Hasan Sohaib Murad, Rector UMT.

Addressing the students, the worthy faculty members said that UMT provides the finest local and foreign faculty which helps students to excel in their fields of study. UMT comes up with lots of opportunities including curricular and co-curricular activities, entrepreneur festivals, job festivals, internship programs and seminars by renowned guest speakers. They added that this is a time to welcome a new future, new successes and a new world of leadership.
  
It is worth noting that UMT is recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) as a “W4” category (highest rank) university. It is also the first in the Punjab amongst medium sized universities in the general category.  UMT offers bachelor, master and doctoral degrees in different disciplines of academia. UMT distinguishes itself with 300 full-time faculty members including 50 PhDs, 13,000+ alumni-ae and 6500 students from Pakistan and abroad.
