Lahore: Naad-e-Ali Sulehria, an aspirant of BS International Relations from Department of Political Science, School of Social Sciences and Humanities (SSS&H) at University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore has been nominated as Fellow of Hansen Summer Institute on Leadership and International Cooperation (USA) for the academic year 2016.
Hansen Fellowship is a completely sponsored summer program that is organized by Hansen Foundation in association along with University of San Diego, California. After getting through a highly competent process it only chooses 20 candidates from twenty different states every year and then engages the selected candidates in peace-building activities.
Naad-e-Ali Sulehria selected for fellowship of Hansen Summer Institute on Leadership and International Cooperation (USA) for the academic year 2016.
Undoubtedly, it is a great honor for University of Management and Technology (UMT) as Naad-e-Ali is the only Pakistani candidate for year 2016 to attain this high regard Fellowship. He will be representing Pakistan amongst a distinguished group of fellows chosen from Armenia, Australia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Brazil, Cambodia, Colombia, Croatia, Egypt, Cameroon, Estonia, India, Iraq, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Palestine, Russia, Serbia, South Africa, Ukraine and United States as well.
The main aim of this program focuses on making an international community of young academics who will utilize their summer experience as a foundation for forming lasting friendships and attaining common practical understanding of a more peaceful future. The selected candidates will receive hands-on training in team-building, public speaking, negotiation, mediation and working together to solve issues at international level.
