The Department of Skills Development (SKD), under the supervision of Principal of UMT, Dr Hasan Sohaib Murad and Dean of School of Business and Economics (SBE), Dr Rukhsana Kalim, has signed a MoU between UMT and The Institute of Bankers Pakistan (IBP). This main aim of signing this MoU is to provide the aspirants of UMT, in related degree programs, 11 exceptions in attaining Junior Associate IBP (JAIBP) qualification.
Before signing this agreement, the aspirants were required to sit in 12 exams and to clear all these exams to get JAIBP qualification; but now they can get the same qualification by clearing just one complete exam. JAIBP qualified candidates are given priority in employing as well as the promotion in the banking zone. The completion of JAIBP certification also allows the Junior Associates incentives in the form of income increments, promotion and consolidate sum cash grants through the Bank that employees them. Moreover, the MoU will disclose the avenues for more collaboration among UMT and IBP: including however not restricted to assistance in research projects on banking as well as the financial services, trainings and the internship placements.
