Lahore: University of Engineering and Technology (UET) and the Tsinghua University Institute of Public Safety Research in China signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to set up a combine academic and research collaboration programme on public safety research.

The vice chancellor of University of engineering and Technology (UET) Dr Fazal Ahmad Khalid, Vice Dean of Institute of Public Safety Research Tsinghua University Prof Huang Quanyi as well as the other officials from both institutes were present at the memorandum signing ceremony.

While addressing the ceremony, the vice chancellor of UET said that this joint venture will be advantageous for UET as well as Tsinghua University to extend the mutual relations.

 The visiting delegation of the Tsinghua University Institute of Public Safety Research also visited the research laboratories at University of engineering and Technology where it was briefed regarding the research projects which are in progress.
