Multan: United Bank Limited (UBL), considered as one of the best banks in Pakistan, recently started its Student Scholarship Program at the Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU), Multan.

Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan started its functioning 1975. The varsity is the largest and foremost educational institutein southern Punjab and plays a vital role in developing indigenous human resources through its highly productive achievements, both in sciences as well as humanities.

The University’s Student Scholarship Program started by UBL will help the needy students in completion of their studies.

UBL, as part of its long established sustainability agenda of supporting higher education, has joined hands along with BZU in this program.

The Bank will provide 50 Masters’ Degree Scholarships to students for the academic year 2016-17.

For this purpose, President & Chief Executive Officer of United Bank Limited, Wajahat Husain and the Vice Chancellor of BZU Prof. Dr. Tahir Amin, signed the agreement at BZU in Multan, on behalf of their respective organizations.

Senior executives from the Bank and distinguished faculty members from the University were also present at the ceremony. Husain, on the signing ceremony, said that it is an honour for UBL to partner with Bahauddin Zakariya University in their Student Scholarship Program.
