Faisalabad, The University of Agriculture Faisalabad has introduced its first agricultural mobile phone android application regarding several diseases and issues of crops and fruits and their give solutions and methods to upsurge productivity.
University Vice-Chancellor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan presided over the UAF Deans Committee at Syndicate Room and revealed it. The application with the name horticulture UAF is highlighting the topics crops and fruits, including wheat, cotton and citrus. The application is available free of cost on Google Play Store. Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan also explained that other crops, vegetables and fruits are also comprised in the application to solve out the issues of the farmers.
The main problem to increase the per acre manufacture is lack of awareness among the farmers so it would give solution to get benefit as much as possible through information technology in present era to participate with the world, he said. He instructed the officials to provide all the facilities and quality education to the students.

IT Director Farjeel Javed expressed his views and said that the IT has gotten great importance in the modern world. The world had become a global village with the promotion of social media, he added. The university is an innovator and introduced internet cloud technology all around the campus, he said.
