Faisalabad: A Pakistani university has rusticated four aspirants on the charges of criticizing the university management on Facebook and misinforming fellow students.

The University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF) took a surprising decision of rusticating the apsirants through an order issued on June 6th, 2017.

The order issued by the university administration reads:

 


“The disciplinary advisory committee has found Muhammad Isfandyar Javed of MSc (Hons) agronomy (second semester), Zubair Iqbal of MSc (Hons) plant breeding and genetics (second semester), Ghulam Jelani of MS management sciences (fourth semester) and Umer Bilal of MSc horticulture (second semester) guilty of spreading offensive comments and remarks against the management of university on social media, misinforming and trapping the students community and defaming, damaging repute as well as bringing bad name to the university.”


The committee duly approved by the expert authority rusticated the 3 aspirants permanently from spring 2016-17 and another student named Umer Bilal for 2 years.

All these aspirants have also been instructed to clear out the hostels.

The university management has given the deadline of 30 days to the punished aspirants to file individual appeals to the vice chancellor of the university.

They may also file review appeal/s against the orders passed on their appeals.
