The University Of Sargodha To Collaborate With Lanzhou University China

The president of Lanzhou University China and Vice Chancellor of The University Of Sargodha have signed a memorandum on Sunday at Lanzhou University. The memorandum of understanding has been signed for next five years. According to (MoU), collaboration in academic and educational fields will increase. Lanzhou University has already been providing technical support in field of Dry Agriculture to Sargodha University. Supply of technical equipments of worth Rs.25 million was also signed in previous MoU between both universities.

The new Mou is signed under CPEC project. It will cover many more academic fields of both universities. As per the terms of this new agreement, both universities will mutually exchange support in fields of administration, teaching, technical educational training and technical equipments on post-graduate level.

Dr, Ishtiaq Ahmed said ; “As the only public sector university included in China’s Belt and Road Initiative’s Agriculture League, we seek to expand our collaboration with Lanzhou University to Geological Sciences and other disciplines,” .

Professor Chun-Hua Yan, President Lanzhou University said that “We already have some 40 students doing post-graduate studies and research at our university, and we expect this number to grow to 100 soon, including students and faculty from Sargodha University,” .

The number of Pakistani students studying in China are increasing rapidly under CPEC project. Chinese government has provided a large number of scholarships to Pakistani students.
