The Age limit For CSS Exams Is Decided By Two Years, Said Government

Central Superior Services, CSS is a competitive exam selected and conducts by Federal Public Service Commission, FPSC. The test is conducted for the recruitment of applicants for the posts of BPS-17 in several services under the Federal government of Pakistan. However, recently the federal government of Pakistan announced changes in the eligibility criteria of CSS examination according to which the age limit is reduced by two 02 years.

In the early times applicants with the age limit of 30 years were allowed to apply and appear for CSS exams. But, from now the age limit is selected until 28 years. The applicant under or at least 28 years of age can apply for the CSS examination. The age limit for the government employs, which was 32 years, has also reduced by four 04 years.

What Other Changes Have Decided?

1. By the authority of the federal government of Pakistan, it has also decided that the name of this competitive exam is also going to be changed from Central Superior Services, CSS to central services of Pakistan, CSP.
2. Moreover, the elimination of the difference, between social and science candidates, is also the main focus of the authority.
3. In order to provide equal opportunities to the candidates, the percentile score system has also been suggested.
4. The elimination of the special quota for the candidates belong to the backward areas and want to appear for CSS exams is also under consideration by the authority.
5. The special quota will be suggested on the basis of the educational background rather than the area or domicile.

General Eligibility Criteria For CSS

Following is the general criteria other than age criteria for being eligible to CSS exam:

1. Applicants are required to show the citizenship of Pakistan.
2. Applicants who are from Azad Jammu and Kashmir are required to secure the permanent residence of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.  
3. Applicants are required to show a bachelor's degree with at least 2^nd division from a recognized institute of Pakistan.
4. Applicants with foreign educational backgrounds are required to show degree with the equivalency of bachelor degrees of Pakistan according to HEC.    
5. Applicants with 3^rd division bachelor degrees can also apply if they have a master's degree with the high division.
