Peshawar: The Chief Secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Azam Khan on Monday ordered the home department to ask Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) for making functional the skill development centres as soon as possible at the jails in Haripur and Bannu.

Azam Khan was presided over the meeting which was organized to discuss the matters and concerns of Prisons Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as well as the conditions of jails across the province.

The secretary finance was also commanded to give the needed funds for the repair of security equipment of different jails.

Furthermore, the meeting appreciated the efforts for screening tests as well as the treatment of Hepatitis B and C and HIV for prisoners along with the assistance of health department.

It also admired holding indoor games in jails.
