Lahore: The Punjab Minister for School Education Rana Mashhood has said that the government of Punjab has decided to distribute free school bags as well as textbooks among the aspirants to motivate them to get education.

While heading a meeting at the committee room of school education department, education minister said that providing quality education accompanied by the essential educational facilities in government schools was top priority of Punjab government.

This meeting looks over the development on various steps taken for the betterment of school education.

The education minister told the meeting that in the first level of this programme, the aspirants of Prep, 1st grade, second grad and 3rd grade will be given school bags and this programme will begin from Lahore, Toba Tek Singh, Rahim Yar Khan and Rajanpur as well.

He furthermore added that the three-member committee consisting of the Special Secretary Schools, Programme Director of Programme Monitoring and Implementation Unit Managing Director Curriculum and Textbook Board has been made to complete this programme.

The Punjab Secretary Schools Education Dr Allah Bakhsh Malik, MD PCTB Amir Ejaz along with the other representatives of line departments also attended the meeting.
