Students Protest & CM Shahbaz suspends board officials

Lahore, BISE Lahore has announced the Inter Part 1 Result 2011 on Monday 17 October and a large number of students blocked the road in front of Board office because of errors in the result to observe protest against the board officials. CM Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif has suspended some higher authorities of board.

BISE Employees Welfare Association members has also joined the students in the protest by two hours pen down strike to show their solidarity with the grieved students of BISE Lahore.

The Board chairman has also been suspended but here it would be well mentioning that his tenure was completed and Lahore board has advertised for the chairman post but the appointment of the Lahore Board chairman is still pending due to some management problems.

Now the Board Secretary Mushtaq Tahir has been given the additional charge of board chairman whose tenure expired on July 31. CM issued these directions in a meeting with board officials and this meeting was also attended by Education Minister Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman, higher education secretary Haseeb Athar and MNA Saira Afzal Tarar.
