Islamabad: The aspirants as well as their parents have showed serious concern over the flaws of the National Testing Service (NTS) as well as other similar services, and complained regarding overcharging by the concerned authorities.

The government departments as well as the ministries of the state depended on these services, comprising of NTS, Balochistan Testing Service (BTS), Open Testing Service (OTS), Pakistan Testing Service (PTS) and also Sindh Testing Service (STS), to employ the people for various jobs.

While talking to the media sources, the candidates said that management of National testing services was charging Rs 600/- to Rs 1,000/- from every applicant on each test which added to the financial miseries of young people.

An aspirant from International Islamic University Islamabad Masters in Business Administration programme, named Abdul Qayyum, said that the aspirants had severe difficulties regarding all national testing services which were just making money in the name of taking tests. He further said that these services choose applicants candidates on the basis of favoritism and nepotism.

Another aspirant from Federal Urdu University Raja Arsalan Ahmad said that PTS have not any proper rechecking system and many irregularities had been committed by them over the years.

Among the 5 testing services that are active in Pakistan, National testing service (NTS) is the pioneer, along with the fourteen years of experience in the field and had an extensive system across the country.

When contacted by the media sources, NTS Corporate Responsibility Department Head Madiha Aslam said that NTS was completely based on reliability and trustworthiness because it had a long experience in conducting as well as tests.

She also added that National testing services had 600,000 various types of content as it was holding various sorts of customized tests since 2003.

Madiha said that, “National testing services has the capability of assessing over 100,000 applicants in a single day”, while adding that the service was going to launch a bio-metric system in association along with the National Database and Registration Authority to stop the use of fake Computerized National Identity Cards.

On the other hand, the Director of OTS Faheem Ahmad also repudiated any wrong doing on their part and claimed that they were offering reasonable testing service to the aspirants within a limited time.
