Students protest against Lahore Board

Updated: CM Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif took the notice of students protest against the board officials around the province regarding inter part 1 results 2011 and he ordered for the judicial inquiry of the matter and asked Lahore High Court Chief Justice to probe the matter.

Lahore, Students of BISE Lahore and Gujranwala are protesting against the errors in the Inter Part 1 Result 2011 and blocked the road in front of Lahore Board office. The students chanted slogans against the Lahore Board officials due to error full results.

Lahore Board chairman has assured the students that all the result late cases would be resolved till tonight and students results would be announced tomorrow.

Students are now are also protesting in front of Lahore board and Gujranwala Board and BBC Urdu and City42 reported that the students tried to break the main gate of the Lahore board office. Lahore board officials call the police.

Gujranwala Board: In Gujranwala Students set fire to the Board building, reported by BBC Urdu. In Gujranwala students protested that the board has published wrong result online and 13 students were injured in clashes with police. Protesting students bunt the records of Gujranwala board. Police resorted tear gas and aerial firing to scatter the students. The protests were held yesterday on Friday 21 October 2011 across the Punjab province against the wrong result.

All educational boards of Punjab province has announced the inter part 1 result 2011 on 17 October and lots of mistakes were found in the result as lots of mistakes were found in the previous results of this year.

Rawalpindi: All Pakistan Private School Management Association (APPSMA) complained the Punjab government made two officials the scapegoat of Inter Result failure instead of digging out the real culprits. APPSMA demanded to actions against Dr. Majid Naeem who is the architecture of new online system.

APPSMA accused that Dr. Majid Naeem has very strong relations with PML-N. President of APPSMA told that the suspension order of board officials is taken just to hide the sins and irresponsibility’s of Dr. Majid Naeem.

Faisalabad: Faisalabad students are protesting in Govt. College for Women’s and students demanding for the revision of Inter results. Faisalabad board students Toba Tek Singh, Kharrian are also protesting for the result revision.

Southern Punjab: More than 5,000 students from DG Khan, Bahawalpur and Rahim Yar Khan are protesting against the results errors and demanding for the revision of result. According to Express Tribune the number of affected students in Southern Punjab is up to 30,000. Students refused to pay any rechecking fee to the board and demanding to paper rechecking.
