On Monday, December 07th, 2020, Sindh High Court has issued a notice to PMC in a petition challenging the legality of MDCAT 2020 that was held on November 29th, 2020. In 2020, PMC decided to conduct two MDCAT. The first was conducted for the normal candidates, however, the 2nd special MDCAT (for the students who tested positive for Covid-19) will be held on December 13th, 2020

Reasons For Petition Against MDCAT 2020

The petitioners along with their counsel Jibran Nasir said that the questions asked in the National MDCAT 2020 were out of the syllabus. The questions from the subjects including Biology, Chemistry, and others were out of the prescribed syllabus. The petitioners submitted an application to stop PMC to reveal the result of National MDCAT 2020. However, it was also questioned to stop the special MDCAT that is going to be held on December 13th, 2020. Applicants mentioned in the application that a committee comprised of the members of all the four provinces should be established to investigate the whole of the matter. Thousands of applicants appeared for the PMC National MDCAT 2020 and the exams had also been gone through several delays.

Sindh High Court Decision

While taking review on the whole of the matter, the Sindh High Court has announced a decision in which the Sindh High Court addresses the Pakistan Medical Commission, PMC to submit the answers against all these queries until December 16th, 2020. However, Jibran Nasir said through his tweet that the petition would not be affected even if PMC would reveal the merit list before December 16th, 2020.
