Sindh Agriculture University starts postgraduate admissions 2013

Tandojam, Directorate of Advanced Studies, Sindh Agriculture University Tandojam has started admissions of 1st term of postgraduate programs 2013. The last date to submit the admission forms is Oct 21, 2013. The Competent Authority has approved the schedule of admission to 1st Term of Postgraduate Programs 2013 for fresh students of academic / calendar year 2013.

The eligibility criteria for M.Sc. (Hons) is B.Sc. (Hons) or equivalent qualification in the relevant field of study with overall marks not less than 50% in various subjects of Agriculture/FST/Statistics will be eligible for admission to M.Sc. (Hons.) in the subject of specialization for the Faculties of CPD, CPT, and FASS.

For M. Phil program the eligibility criteria is DVM/B.Sc. (AH) recognized by PVMC with overall marks not less than 50% shall be eligible for admission to M. Phil in the subject of specialization for Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences while the eligibility criteria for PhD program is M.Sc/M.E/M.Phil or equivalent degree in the relevant field of study with overall marks not less than 60%, at least two first divisions from Matric to M.Sc./M.E/MPhil and research component in Master degree. Subject Type GRE by NTS with minimum score of 60% percentile as recommended by HEC must be submitted at the time of admission or latest by admission in second term.

The admission forms are available and students can submit the forms till Oct 21, the entrance test will be conducted on Oct 30. Selected candidates could submit the single fee till Nov 18 while with double fee till Nov 25, 2013. The classes will begin on Nov 18, 2013.

Application forms for all programs may be obtained from Directorate of Advanced Studies, Sindh Agriculture University, Tandojam on payment of Rs. 1,250/- The forms can also be downloaded from the university website, however, the applicant has to pay Rs.1,250/- in the form of Demand Draft in the name of Director Finance, Sindh Agriculture University, Tandojam. Admissions to higher degrees are made by concerned departments as per availability of research facilities and professional guidance/ supervision.
