Karachi: On Thursday, the Sindh High Court (SHC) restricted the government of Sindh from declaring a new date to conduct again the entry tests for the government sector medical colleges as well as universities crosswise the province.
A two-judge bench, presided over by Justice Munib Akhtar, issued the restricting orders whereas hearing a petition challenging the notification of the government of Sindh about the cancellation of entry test results after a question paper was leaked during a test hold by the National Testing Services last month on October 22nd, 2017.
At the beginning of the hearing, the judges asked for the verdicts of the committee, set up by the chief minister of Sindh to probe this issue.

The health secretary, Fazlullah Pechuho, informed the court that the plan for visits by the committee members to the medical varsities would be decided by Thursday (yesterday).
He furthermore added that the chief mister of Sindh had also asked for the investigation to be finished as soon as possible.
The secretary also added that the probe would be completed before the first week of December, after which the test will be re-conducted for admissions at public sector medical institutes.
A lawyer representing the National Testing Services negated the allegations of an entry test paper leak, stating that the testing service had not received a single complaint from any aspirant.
“The Politicians are actually trying to make the National Testing Service notorious,” he alleged.

The lawyer furthermore added that an investigation was conducted into the allegations, however up till now no evidence of carelessness on the part of any staff member was found.
After hearing the arguments from both ends, the two-judge bench restricted the government of Sindh from declaring the date for a new entry test till next notice.
