Senate passed the bill for the establishing University of Islamabad

The Senate has approved the Pending bill for the University of Islamabad establishment on 6th March 2020. This Bill has been pending for approval since late 2019. The establishment of this university will have thousands of students in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and adjoining areas. Senate's order the relevant departments to complete this university as soon as possible.

The bill was pending for the ruling in the last few months. The urgency to have a good institute for higher education in Islamabad has speed up the process of this bill decision.

Senate Approved Bill for University of Islamabad Establishment

The bill was first passed by the Minister of professional education and training Dr. Shafqat Mahmood in 2019. The bill was named the University of Islamabad bill, 2019. According to the senate, this education department will act like the private sector. All the rules and regulations for this private university will be under the Advancement of Innovation, Research, and Education (FAIRE). FAIRE will also be responsible to elect Chancellor for the university and renew his\her term to 5 years.

Courses Will be Offered by University of Islamabad

Director of FAIRE will have the authority to overrule the chancellor of the university out still has to provide proper reasons. There are multiple courses that FAIRE wants to include in the program of this institute which includes

1. Management sciences
2. Computer sciences
3. International relation
4. Mathematics

It is strictly advised to all staff members of this university that they have to treat every student equally despite their gender, religion or cast.
