Seminar On ‘How to raise quality of higher education’ at Virtual University

Directorate of Quality Enhancement (DQE) of Virtual University of Pakistan (VU) arranged 1 day National Seminar on “How to raise the quality of higher education” yesterday (Monday). Prof. Dr. Pervez Hoodbhoy a well-known Pakistani scholar, playwright as well as the national security psychoanalyst was the resource individual in this seminar.

This seminar organized at Virtual University of Pakistan was attended by the principal officers as well as the faculty members from the Virtual University of Pakistan from the different places associated through video link, QECs representatives from the Universities in Lahore and those associated through the video conferencing from the different cities crosswise the country.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nawaz, Advisor DQE, introduced the University as well as brought to the light the journey of the university towards quality.

Prof. Dr. Pervez Hoodbhoy brought an all-inclusive as well as the thought-provoking lecture on the quality related matters faced by higher educational institutes. Prof. Dr. Naveed A. Malik concluded the seminar along with the remarks that the matter of quality in higher education is multi-faceted which needs the concentrated efforts to curtail its effects.
