Chief Minister of Balochistan, Dr Abdul Malik Baloch on Wednesday admired the involvement of National Testing Service in making the selection of teachers in government institutes.

He claimed that “Employing teachers by NTS in Balochistan is not less than a miracle. People had some doubts regarding the procedure however the mandatory government has fulfilled its commitment.”

CM was speaking at a ceremony held to distribute the appointment letters between those applicants who had been nominated through the NTS.

Chief Minister of Baluchistan said that recruiting teachers via NTS will not just certify the appointment of deserving candidates however it will also progress the quality of education in the province. He moreover said that “taking the decision to introduce the NTS was quite difficult. We had pressures though we took this critical decision to certify the merit and clarity in the province.”

While conversing he also said that it was an honour for me that appointment orders had been handed over to the deserving candidates and it is also a source of happiness for me as we are taking steps unequivocally along with the good intentions for the improvement of education sector.

He said that the applicants had been given the full opportunity to submit their objections as well as their moans, if there are any, against the employment procedure of NTS, accumulating that civil society and also media have to assist the government end truancy between the teachers and bring education reforms.

He also said that the “The government has brought a massive change in the form of reforming the Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC) that has newly employed 700 lecturers and 1,200 more are about to be employed”.

During his address he said that he had not received any complaint alongside the BPSC and appreciated the chief secretary and secretary higher education for applying the NTS procedure and certifying transparency in the employment of teachers.

The educational adviser to Chief Minister Sardar Raza Muhammad Barech said that more than 95,000 applications had been received from various regions and the applicants holding M.Phil degrees had also taken part in the procedure of NTS, adding that this will not just develop a new image of Balochistan though the trust of people in the government will also build up.

Chief Secretary Saifullah Chattah informed the crowd that 5,000 candidates will be employed through 12th October and 1,700 vacancies will be filled through the NTS during the present year.
