Schools In Various Districts Of Sindh To Remain Closed Till 6th June 2021
The government of Sindh has announced that the schools in the various districts across the province will remain closed till 6th June 2021 where the coronavirus positivity ratio is higher than 5%. The decision has been taken by considering the ongoing situation of the coronavirus pandemic. According to the provincial government the districts included Hyderabad, Sukkur, Badin, Dadu, Jamshoro, Shaheed Benazirabad, and all districts of Karachi. However, in the remaining districts where the coronavirus positivity ratio is less than 5%, the educational institutes have resumed the academic activates from today 24th May 2021.
Closure Of Educational Institutes
According to the statement issued by the federal ministry of education, the positivity ratio is higher in 52 districts across the country including the districts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Moreover the educational institutes in Quetta will also shut down till 6th June 2021. Earlier the meeting of the national command and operation Centre was held in which all the provincial ministers had reviewed the COVID-19 situation to decide about the closure of the institutes. In Kyber Pakhtunkhawa the coronavirus positivity ratio is higher than 5% in the districts of Karam, Mardan, Nowshera, Peshawar, Swabi, Swat, Abbottabad, Bannu, Buner, Charsadda, Lower Dir, Upper Dir, Haripur, and Kohat.
The decision of Punjab Government
The Punjab education minister, Murad Raas took the Twitter and announced that the educational institutes in several districts such as Khanewal, Khushab, Lahore, Layyah, Lodhran, Attock, Bahawalpur, Bhakkar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rahim Yar Khan, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujrat, Mianwali, Multan, Muzaffargarh, Okara, Toba Tek Singh, Faisalabad, and Gujranwala will remain closed till 6th June 2021.
