Peshawar: The Deputy Commissioner of Peshawar, Riaz Mehsud has asked all private schools in Peshawar not to charge fee in advance from aspirants during the upcoming summer vacations.
Mr Mehsud gave a statement in which he said:
“Private school owners could not receive payments except tuition fee from the students”.
He further said that no private sector schools will be permitted to increase its fee on its own from now on. For any increase in the fee the schools had to get permission from the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Peshawar as well as from the consumer protection association, he added.

Mr Mehsud said that they were receiving complaints from parents regarding private schools. Additional deputy commissioner Irshad Sodhar also headed the meeting in this respect.
The statement also said that this meeting was attended by representatives of the BISE Peshawar board, consumer protection association as well as parents.
