School Education Department Issues The Academic Calendar For Year 2020-21

The school education department has issued the academic calendar for the year 2020-21. The calendar has been provided to more than 35 thousand middle and secondary schools across the Punjab province. It is news of great concern for the students that the academic calendar is declared by considering the smart syllabus devised by the provincial government. Earlier it was announced to reduce the syllabus for the students under the corona perspective as almost half a year has been over. Now for the next academic year, the students have less time to cover the wholesome syllabus of all subjects. 

Implementation of Proposed Calendar

SED has directed all the schools to follow the academic calendar prepared for the students of the session 2020-21. In this way, the students will be able to complete their next academic year on time without having any gap. According to the sources, the schools have been provided with the precise syllabus of English, mathematics, and science. 

Compliance of COVID-19 Guidelines

Due to an increase in the coronavirus cases in the schools, the SED has advised to strictly follow the SOPs. Moreover, the Punjab Education Minister, Murad Raas is also monitoring the implementation of the COVID-19 safety protocols and compliance of the guidelines provided by the school education department. It is further informed to the candidates that they are not allowed to enter the schools without wearing the mask. The banners of “No mask, No entry" has been displayed outside the educational institute to increase the awareness on the importance of mask in this time of the pandemic. In case any teacher or student will be found without the mask within school premises, the action will be taken against the school head.
