The school education department has issued the new timing for winter for all the schools across Punjab. The time table will be effective for both public and private schools from today. The schools having the single shift of the students or the double shift are informed to follow the given time schedule announced by the SED. The notification mentions that the schools with the single shift of students will remain open from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm from Monday to Saturday except Friday. On Friday, the school would operate from 8:30 am to 12:15 pm. On the other hand, the schools with the double shift will work from 8:15am to 12:15pm from Monday to Saturday (morning shift). On Friday they would follow the new timing and work from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm (evening shift)
Precautionary measures
The schools have been opened approximately after the six months so the school education department has directed the concerned authorities of the schools to ensure the implementation of all the necessary measures. The head teacher in consultation with the concerned controlling officer may make a plan of recess for the students for 10 minutes daily except on Friday. Moreover, the authorities also advised the school officials to consider all the precautionary steps to maintain social distancing during break time. SOPs should be maintained to avoid any inconvenience. The officials of the district education authority have made the adjustments of the 15 minutes in the opening and closing time of the schools.
Implementation of New Time Schedule
