Rs 5.4 billion allocated for laptops by Punjab Government

On Thursday Punjab government has approved the provision of laptops in financial year 2015-16 to the students of the Punjab Province.

The government has allotted more than Rs 5.4 billion for the providing of laptops between the aspirants. The scheme is mainly playing a vital role in getting political stretch through the government which was simulated also in the last general election. Now it is expected that it will also assist the government in the forthcoming Local Government elections.

The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party ratified the 9 development schemes of different sectors along with an estimated cost of Rs 10.831 billion in 11th meeting of the PDWP organized at Planning and Development Headquarters. The meeting was presided by Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Irfan Elahi while the members of the Board, provincial secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments also attended the meeting.
