University of the Punjab completes preparations for biggest online exams. Almost 80,000 students will appear in these online exams from home. 

As per the details, the closure of educational institutions in Corona epidemic is still going on. In these circumstances, PU has decided to continue its educational journey.

PU Vice Chancellor Briefed Regarding Online Exams

The annual BA and B.Sc part 2 exams will be conducted online from August 5th, 2020. Vice Chancellor of PU Prof. Niaz Ahmed briefed on the policy of online exams. Approximately 55,000 students have registered for these online exams.

He further added that aspirants will show everything in the room 20 minutes before the exam to avoid any cheating. An invigilator will be on duty for 25 students. While briefing, her moreover said that talking to each other will result in the cancellation of exam. 

Students Can Appear in Traditional Exam Due to Unavailability of Facilities  

According to PU, if the aspirants do not have the facility to take the exam online, they will be able to take the traditional exam when the situation improves. 

PU Issues Login Details to Students For Exams

\It is also important to mention here that Punjab University has recently issued passwords to more than 41,000 students to log in to Safe Exam browser. The applicants can download this browser before the exam.

Monitoring During Online Exams 

Punjab University has appointed one proctor for each 25 students and a superintendent for every ten students who will be monitoring the computer during exams. All other apps on the computer of the candidates will be automatically disabled as soon as the exam will begin. The Online BA/BSc part 2 exams will begin from August 5th and will continue till August 20th, 2020
