Punjab textbook board directed to ensure the availability of books

Lahore, Punjab Education Minister Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman on Wednesday has ordered the Punjab Textbook Board (PTB) consultants to make efforts for the availability of all syllabus books in the market from class 1 to 10.

He was addressing over a meeting of the PTB authorities about the deficiency of syllabus books in the market. He further instructed to take proper action against those publishers who are showing lack of interest to deliver the related books in time. He said that those publishers would be blacklisted. Chairman PTB Mukhtar Ahmad Noul, Khalifa Majeed and officials of the PTB and Education Department were also present on this occasion. He expressed his views that old system of publishing books by PTB would be replaced with new system to confirm the availability of syllabus books.
