There is good news for the youth who are willing to do Job in Punjab Police as the notification issued by IG Punjab stated that the department will recruit constables from 19 districts of Punjab including Lahore, 600 traffic assistants and 40 drivers from five major cities.
According to the given details, 10,000 male and Lady Constables will be recruited against the approved vacant positions across the Punjab. In this regard, the recruitment procedure for 5 thousand (5000) male and lady constables has already been started in the 19 districts of Punjab including Lahore.
Furthermore, it is also stated that 600 Traffic Assistants will be hired as well in order to improve the flow of traffic.Similarly, the approval has been given to recruit 40 Drivers from across the province,5% Minority and 15% women quota will be allocated for recruitment to constable vacant positions
Age Limit:
The candidates between the ages 18 years to 22 years are eligible to apply for the announced vacant positions.
Job Application Details:
The candidates who are willing to apply for the abovementioned positions can get the application forms from October 12, 2020 till October 26th, 2020 from the related police lines.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The candidates having HSSC / Intermediate Certificate will be eligible to apply for the post of Constable and Traffic Assistant.
- The Candidates having SSC / Matriculation certificate along with driving license will be eligible to apply for the announced driving posts at Punjab Police Department.
Note: Newspaper advertisement will also be issued for recruitment in one to two days.
CM Approves Recruitment of 10,000 Constables:
Earlier in April, Chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar, approved the recruitment of 10,000 constables in the police department. The statement given by CM Punjab stated that, " Almost 5,000 constables will be hired during the current financial year whereas the rest of 5,000 constables will be recruited in the next fiscal year.".
He also said that " Recruitments in the police department will be made completely on merit basis ".While appreciating the role of Punjab Police during Coronavirus Outbreak, Usman Buzdar also said that " Police have played an excellent role during this period and it is discharging duty enthusiastically ".
