Punjab Government To Establish New Universities

Earlier the meeting of the higher education was held to review the progress of the establishment of the fifteen universities. The meeting was chaired by Chief Minister Usman Bazdar and many other government officials also participated in the meeting to discuss various matters related to the education sector. As per the details, the meeting was focused to consider the public-private partnership for the establishment of the new universities equipped with the latest technologies. Moreover, it had been also said to facilitate the students in academics matters so that they can get better educational opportunities. 

Concept of Smart University

The approval was also given in the meeting for the further recruitment of college teacher interns to provide employment opportunities to the interested candidates. Moreover, the concept of the smart university was also introduced for the better facilities that will allow the candidates to encounter the new opportunities available in their affiliated field and they will be exploring a number of new things related to the selected area of study. 

Job Opportunities

The Chief Minister also directed to fill up the vacancies of the College Principal as early as possible and also said to appoint the Controllers and Secretaries of the Board of Education. He clarified that the selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of merit after analyzing the eligibility criteria of the appeared candidates. It was informed in the briefing of the meeting of higher education that 197 higher education projects cost Rs 15 billion while 21 new college lands have been allotted for the establishment of 88 new colleges. Soon the projects will be completed under the supervision of the Punjab government and the newly formed educational institutes will be operational to perform educational activities.
