Lahore: While addressing a ceremony, the chief minister of Punjab Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif promised to distribute 50 thousand tablet devices among the school going children.

The chief minister also promised to install 200 WI-FI spots in 5 major cities of Punjab including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan, Bahawalpur and Faisalabad.

Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif was invited at the inaugural ceremony of WIFI Service Program in Arfa Software Technology Park.

He shed light on the importance of utilizing the latest technology for the progress of the country.

While addressing he said that the government of Punjab had provided Information Technology Labs in 5 thousand schools while attendance system of teachers had been improved with the help of information technology system across the province.

“We got rid of Patwari traditions via digital land records and reformed police stations by the computerized system,” he added.
