Punjab Government Has Decided To Seal Several Areas Of Lahore

 The Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmeen Rashid has ordered to seal various areas of Lahore. This News was broken by her during a press conference in Lahore. She said this tough decision was taken by undertaking all the safety precautions.
 The areas which are being sealed include Shahdara, Shad Bagh, Harbanspura, and different places within Gulberg as well. There are few areas that are also being sealed Nishtar Colony and Iqbal town as well. Some adjacent areas of Mozang have also been sealed to stop the spread of the Coronavirus in Lahore.

Further discussing the current situation she revealed that these areas are going to be sealed for at least 2 weeks. The lockdown will be imposed for two weeks and during this time the supply of food and other necessities will remain open. After looking at the condition of the situation these areas will be opened.

Why These Areas Are Being Sealed:

According to Doctor Yasmeen Rashid, the real reason to seal these areas is that they are not following SOPs for COVID-19 effectively. There are over 388 cases registered in Johar town and over 200 in Wapda town.
She also said that " we are monitoring all areas of Lahore and making a list of those areas in which the number of cases is increasing rapidly ". In her press conference, she pleaded that " People should Follow SOPs regularly. Just wearing a face mask can reduce the chances of catching COVID-19 to 50% ".

Current Situation COVID-19 in Pakistan:

The current numbers of COVID-19 Patients has reached a total of 1 lakh 44 Thousand in Pakistan. The number of total deaths has exceeded 2700. Right Now Punjab and Sindh are the worst affected provinces. The total number of cases in Sindh has reached  53,805 thousand and in Punjab, this toll has reached to 54,134 Thousand.
