Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) makes a plan to unveil a preliminary project for free of cost education for children along with the minor disabilities.
This project is being exposed in association along with the Special Education Department in 7 nominated districts that involves Lahore, Multan, Vehari, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum as well as Chakwal in the first stage.
As per the representative of Punjab Education Foundation, the PEF school partners in the particular districts can apply till 5th December 2015 to the foundation for affiliation along with this project. All the school partners joined along with PEF sponsored educational programmes, comprising of the foundation assisted school, new school programme and also the education voucher scheme can apply for this preliminary project.
While conversing he also said that Pakistan Education Foundation will pay Rs550 together with the extra amount of Rs400 for every special student to the partner school monthly. He also said, like a symbol of support to the companion schools, PEF will also provide the amount of Rs 40,000 to such schools for the arrangement of the necessary facilities, comprising of the ramp and toilet for the disable students. The main objective is to arrange the favorable atmosphere for the aspirants.
He said that items, such as the wheel chair, hearing aid, specialized glasses as well as the sticks will also be provided to these students; furthermore, the specialized training will also be given to the teachers so that they can give their best to the students in the schools.
