In a major relief for thousands of students and academic institutions across the province, the Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen (PBCC) has officially announced an extension of the registration schedule for ninth grade and 9th Class registration 2026 fee. A fresh new notification issued by the competent authority outlines the revised deadlines for online registration and admission form submission for regular students enrolled in the academic session 2026-2028.
The decision aims to facilitate schools and parents who were struggling to meet the initial deadlines, ensuring that no student is left behind due to technical glitches or financial constraints.
According to the details made public in the recent PBCC notification, the entire process for submitting online registration forms has been rescheduled. School administrations and regular students can now leverage this extended window to complete their documentation smoothly.
Under the updated guidelines, the window to apply without any financial penalty has been widened significantly. Students can now submit their online registration data and admission forms from April 25 to June 22, 2026, without paying any additional or fine charges. Education experts have highly welcomed this step, noting that the extended timeline provides ample breathing room for rural and underfunded educational sectors.
For those who fail to meet the standard deadline, a secondary window has been provided, albeit with an added cost. The extension of the registration schedule for ninth grade allows late entries from June 23 to July 7, 2026. However, these submissions will be subject to a late fee of Rs. 600 per student.
This unified policy update is not restricted to a single city. It applies directly to all nine Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) operating across the Punjab province. Educational institutions attached to the following boards must strictly follow the new instructions:
BISE Lahore
BISE Rawalpindi
BISE Multan
BISE Faisalabad
BISE Gujranwala
BISE Sargodha
BISE Sahiwal
BISE Bahawalpur
BISE Dera Ghazi Khan
With the new notification issued, the PBCC has passed clear directives to both public and private schools. To ensure a seamless registration process, stakeholders should keep the following aspects in mind:
Data Accuracy: Ensure that spelling of the student's name, father's name, and date of birth match their B-Form exactly before final submission.
Fee Generation: System-generated computerized bank challans must be paid only within the designated bank branches before the cutoff date of June 22 to escape the Rs. 600 fine.
Hard Copy Submission: After completing the online database entry, schools must print the final registration return, get it signed by the institutional head, and submit it to the respective board's registration branch within the specified timeframe.
This timely intervention by the Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen has successfully averted a stressful situation for the academic community, ensuring that the enrollment process for the 2026-2028 session progresses without further hitches.
