PU, UVAS pay tribute to Shuja Khanzada

Vice-Chancellor of University of the Punjab Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran supervised over a condolence reference to pay the tribute to the martyred Punjab Minister Col (R) Shuja Khanzada at Al Raazi Hall on Monday.

 The deans of several faculties, heads of departments as well as the senior faculty members were also present there. While addressing the meeting, Dr Mujahid Kamran said that Shuja Khanzada was a brave, fearless and also a patriotic person who had always appreciated and respected others. He said many times he had unveiled Indian involvement in Pakistan bluntly and the involvement of India in several terrorist activities.

He moreover said that the country had faced an irreversible loss. The meeting conveyed the solidarity along with his family. After that, Fateha was offered for late General Hameed Gul and Col (R) Shuja Khanzada. The president of PU Academic Staff Association Prof Dr Hassan Mobeen Alam and Secretary Dr Mahboob Hussain also dubbed the death of Shuja an irretrievable loss. They said that Col Khanzada himself had set an example of bravery for the others.

At the same time, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) also organized a condolence reference in the memory of Col Shuja Khanzada (R) as well as the other martyrs who lost their lives in Attock suicide attack on Sunday.

 Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha superintended the reference in which the contributors prayed for the departed souls and also pad the tribute to the services of Shuja Khanzada. Conversing on the occasion, Prof Pasha said that Shuja Khanzada was a brave soldiersacrifice his life in the line of duty. He said Khanzada had sacrificed his life in the defense of nation and also to protect our lives. He prayed for the departed souls and also said that we all shared the grief of the families of Shuja Khanzada and other martyrs as well. A large number of teaching staff, other employees as well as the aspirants attended the meeting and prayed for the blast sufferers.
